iphone with O2 Upgrade

I had a 18 months contract for iPhone with O2 (3G). New versions of the iPhone came on the market and O2 called me about it. Only 6 months after the end of my contract, I found out that I could change my monthly tariff (upgrade?) to a lower one but getting the same deal with minutes, text etc...etc...
I'm now very annoyed that O2 never told me about this great offer but only called me to ask for more money for a new iPhone. Can I do something about it?

Thanks

  • O2 offered you a deal and you took it. It isn't for O2 to go through every single permutaton that is available unless you ask them to. Instead, it seems you were blinded by the prospect of getting the latest shiny toy and you grabbed it with both hands without considering any other options that may have been available to you. You can go back to O2 and ask them to drop you by one tariff once you are halfway through your current deal but that's about it.
