Expensive Electric Bill

Yeah, that seems about right (probably not exactly, but close enough)
As long as those readings are used by both BG (as start readings) and Eon (as final readings) you it won't be far wrong.
Yes, BG need to correct the information they supplied Eon so that both companies agree the revision. It may be worth asking Eon to suspend collection of the amount just billed, pending the revised information on it's way from BG."Now to trolling as a concept. .... BG now have the right info and have said it will take a few days to update on my account and then they can agree the revision with EON.
With regards to suspending the collection ..... I didn`t even know that was possible. Do I just ring and ask?
Thank you soooo much for all your help.0 -

You have a 2 rate meter, when you press the blue button it registers the night units. They add the 2 readings together to get your bill as you are on a standard tariff not E7.
On the Sep 3 bill they have estimated both the readings, getting the main one approximately correct but vastly overestimating the night units to be the same as the day units.
Now you have taken the readings you find the night one to be 198 instead of the 869 they esimated. So from June 4 you have used 198 minus 96 = 102 instead of the 773 they estimated. This should mean overbilling.
Just a further word of caution. Now you have a 2 rate meter not all suppliers add the 2 readings together so if you should change to one of them then you would be stuck on an E7 tariff which may not suit you.
You were right!! :j

Yes, you need to ensure Eon are kept up to date. Contact them and raise a formal dispute over the bill issued. Reason: the meter readings used are incorrect and BG will be supplying confirmation of the corrected ones shortly. In the meantime, request that collection actions over the current bill are suspended (which the supplier should agree to in the circumstances, which may be time limited but long enough for BG to inform Eon of the corrected readings)"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
