Good evening everyone,
I was wondering if any of you could help a complete newbie out? Having seen some of your lovely creations, I would love to paint my table and chairs and a bookcase white but am completely clueless
Can you please tell me what sort of paint I will need to buy?
Many thanksMoney paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

i have a table and chairs half painted too, they were that awfull orangey coloured pine i am painting them to put in our holiday let not sure how long they will last but will do a tempory measure.
i normally use crown makeover cupboard primer, several coats then i use satin white gloss all water based (easier for cleaning brushes)
but on the projects i have shown above i used farrow and ball estate eggshell 'all white' as the top coat on the table and for the chair and stand i ran out of my usual primer and bought something called cabinet coat acrylic satin enamel its a primer and top caot all in one i did the stand 5 times and the chair 6 and its a great finish0 -

we have just built a new house so everywhere is white, in my last house the kitchen was magnolia, then lemon, then back to magnolia before we sold it.0 -
ive finished the chair this was also Yew to match the desk its had 5 coats of cabinet coat acrylic satin as i ran out of primer and this paint is for dificult surfaces and is a primer and top coat all in one its given it a lovely finish and next to the farrow and ball on the desk doesnt look any different.
i was also painting a hall stand, this was very dark mahogany but again i forgot to take a before photo.
but i can tell you it loosk alot better white even ht DH siad it looks nice and he doest normally comment on such things
These are gorgeous. We have some of the yew furniture and it is quite a bright orange!! The makeover is much more restful but I doubt I shall get round to painting it - too much else to do just now sadly. I'm waiting for better weather so I can get some of the garden furniture treated.
Had a quick peek at your blog and I shall look more closely later.
