Just finished this old china cabinet.....held off for ages deciding what to do with it, I really didn't like the gold design, so once I got it off, decided to go for the grey colour :0)

That's gorgeous Cazo, I've always been put off by painted glass but I shall think twice in future.

My kitchen renovations are going slowly, half the old kitchen is out and most of the new units are in (it's moving from one side of the room to the other) lots more to do but just seeing the new unit carcasses in place makes me giddy.

Any photos of the kitchen works please? My kitchen is being gutted - not sure how long I will be without.

I'll pop some photos over on my blog later. Luckily as I'm rejigging the layout of my kitchen we've been able to work on one side putting in new units whilst stripping out the other side. It's dusty and chaos but I'm still able to use the sink/hob/dishwasher/washing machine. New cooker and hood got installed today, my poor Dad has been working his socks off (he's 67 and is driving 45 miles each way when he comes to help out so it's taking time but hes so willing to help). Tomorrow I get new work surfaces on the units that are in!!! I'm still removing tiles/cupboards from the other side of the room, filing holes, painting ceilings etc. so much to do but it will be worth it.

I have one of these cabinets that I inherited off my late mum, its in my living room and does not really match my other furniture, you have done a great job, I'm not sure I would be able to do such a good job of my cabinet.

Looking good! One photo - looked really dusty - dreading that bit. When do you think it will all be done?

Dusty wasn't the word for it, chopping out for new electrics is never fun!

I've no deadline for it to be finished, I'm doing it around Dads help, DHs appointments (he's disabled and we have weekly hospital appointments) and daily life. Luckily DDs are both teenagers so able to muck in and help with lots. I'm guessing it will be done by the end of April though, as long as we don't find any more surprises. I'm cladding the bottom of the walls with tongue and groove panelling which makes life a lot easier but I've picked porceline floor tiles and I've never played with those before so need to learn ow to cut them, I've got 26m2 of flooring to lay so that will take a while in itself!

Wow - I would not even attempt to do tiling!
I have still to choose the tiles for the kitchen, bathroom, cloakroom and utility area. So much choice and I need to get tiles for so many areas. Where did you get your tiles? I have looked in 5 shops now and not made a decision. I am still trying to make my mind up over the choice of worktop too.
