my double glazing went off half cocked, part of the builder from hell saga, would take 3 days to explain, but one notable quote from the company when shown badly scratched glass was "but you look through glass not at it"
I still have post traumatic stress 8 years on from the event. I felt like my house had been attacked.

on a happier note, we have a fox and cub visiting and eating the feral cats' food!

I picked up a table at tea time yesterday.
Look what I've done to it already :j

    Yay!
You say scrubbed - is that sanded as it looks different to how it was. I love this table.

Yes, as long as it is water based :)

It only had a stain on it. I put really strong sugar soap and scrubbed with a scouring sponge. Then once dry, I scrubbed again with regular hot soapy water. I rubbed it dry very hard with a clean dry rag and loads of stain came out of it

I'm not sure if a decorator would approve, buy it certainly worked
It wouldn't work on a varnished surface though

Picked up this little kitchen unit yesterday, it seems that the trick is not to let it get as far as the garage!! Had it painted and finished in an afternoon :T

Is it really bad I have just painted around my fridge:o . i can't move it myself and it took 2 men to move it into the corner when i moved in. you can't tell unless you get on a ladder and look down the back.

Some of you may remember the post I made about my rubbish kitchen a few pages back. The boiler engineer came (again) moved the cupboard, he moved it back, snapped the kick board, snapped a return that hid the gap between the two cupboards, the leg snapped and I know these are easy to replace but it fell over on Saturday and I had to get a neighbour to help me pick it up and the coving (?) around the top snapped off!! So while there is all this carnage I thought i'd paint, Do you thing someone is trying to tell me something about getting a shabby chic dresser in its place :):rotfl:
