    Hmmm. Having started a wee section of cabinet I am reminded what a terrible painter I am and why I have not tackled this complicated thing yet. Too many fiddly bits!

    Can't stop painting crates! (Or drawers). Lightened this one with a watered down wash of F&B's skimming stone which is softer than using white I think...blackboard paint for the lettering, copied with carbon paper.

    I thought this was a crate and paid £2 for it at the boot sale but it's actually an old drawer! Try wine merchants, boot sales and flea markets? There's no reason you couldn't use a pale modern crate and stain it walnut to add a bit of age. Less risk of woodworm too. This one had to be treated and it still stinks!

    hello all first time here,i got a large groovy glass 3 door unit with a side board under it ,in proscess of sanding it so i will let you all see how it turns out.........i soooooo excited ....xxx
