this has happened to a few people i believe, mod itself has conceded that it ws their mistake and its highly unlikely those involved could know they were being underpaid. Think some people are being a bit harsh on the op tbh. Some have also been underpaid and should be due a payment.
  • BTW the money would not be for going on the lash! I have two kids that I provide for!

Sorry if I offended you, that wasnt the intention. I only added that on as an afterthought as someone at my unit recently tried using that as a valid reason for getting an advance of pay, because there was a function happening and he wanted to go to it, but had unfortunately spent all his money.

Needless to say Chf Clk told him where to go whilst laughing his head off.

Again apologies for any offense caused

I always thought that theres an old QR that states a service man/women must have 2 days pay available at all times.....

Equally some RAF bases keep £20 at the main gate which you can sign out to pay for taxi fares. This is repayable with 24 hours.

It is difficult when HR put you on the wrong payband, but as i pointed out the general rule of thumb is overpayments are liable to be paid back at some point.
Proud to have dealt with our debts

As with a lot of old QR's nowadays they just aren't payed attention to, such as an airman must always have enough to pay for a haircut. Now its more of a case of
SNCO "Scrote get a hair cut!"
    Scrote "Got no money Sarge!"
SNCO "OK do it on pay day"

True in some places, but doesnt stop the guard commander from chasing a little scrote all the way back to the block as he had just jumped from the taxi and legged it. As happened here not so long ago lol
