Seat Belt Warning Lights

In the course of my work, I sometimes have to drive new(ish) cars and they all seem to have this damned annoying seat belt warning light and alarm.
Are there any cars out there that don't have 'em these days? Or is it possible to pull a fuse or something to switch 'em off?
I'd hate to buy a motor and find it had one of these.

Blame NCAP - there are extra points towards five stars for seat belt warnings. They can often be turned off, sometimes by the driver, sometimes by the dealership.0

The obvious thing to do is wear the seat belt.0

Which is why I don't need a infernal bleep to tell me when I don't have it on.
Don't think my mums 58 plate 1 series has a bleep, or light, not noticed one at least.0 -
There is a very simple way of turning it off.
Wear the bleedin' seatbelt...0 -
Used to have a car that stopped beeping if you pushed the seatbelt release button.
To those that states the obvious, perhaps he's a multi drop parcel delivery type who MAY (think I read it somewhere, but no, I wont provide a link) have an exemption.
Or he may have 1 arm (and an associated exemption).0 -

Plug the seat belt in and then get in yourself - sit on the belt.
Or put it on properly.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
Two things;
1. I hate wearing a seatbelt, I find it very restrictive and uncomfortable so I don't do it.
2. I firmly believe that the law is wrong. I fully support laws that are designed to prevent harm or loss coming to others. However, my not wearing a seatbelt will not cause harm to anyone else - only me. I thoroughly resent this intrusion inot my personal liberty.
I wouldn't buy a motor that had one of these lights/buzzers (unless it could be switched off).0 -

I don't know, if I pull out in front of you the image of you bleeding all over the windscreen, (or bonnet) would be disturbing for a while.0
