mpeg file to dvd or vcd

mpeg1, mpg, mpeg2 will all play on a pc and dvd player and can be burnt straight to cd as a vcd/svcd.
if you have several mpeg files and a dvd burner, you can fit multiple files and have chapters / movie selection if you use TmpegDVD author.
xvid / divx files will have to be re-encoded to an acceptable format to be able to be read cross platform (ie pc and dvd, although some dvd players will read divx (mpeg4))
