A DVD will hold 4.7GB. So you should be able to burn it without shrinking it.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

I use DVDSanta.
It will convert avi/wmv/asf or mpeg and burn it to dvd.
Its Easy to use, and I'm a beginner to this dvd burning stuff. If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

have a look on their website, I can't remember how I got it.
I was so confused with all the formats, I have downloaded about 30 different programs trying to convert different formats, when a message comes up about end of trial, I will just delete the program.
With dvdSanta, I am not sure, as the program says its the full version and I definitely havent paid for it. (me....pay for something.......never !!)
I might have got it from the torrent sites as a free download. If you get stuck, pm me and I'll sort something out for you.If only everything in life was as reliable...AS ME !!

I agree with Hellion, tmpgenc is good for re-encoding the file to a different format and reducing the filesize if your looking to burn a vcd (mpeg 1 or 2) to a cdr, but like Rex_ said, if you want to burn it to dvd you will have 2.7gig left.
What are you trying to achieve?£2 savers club = £83.500 -
You could also try Win AVI, which is really easy to use. you can get it on free trial but it does put a watermark on the converted file. Alternatively you could just burn the mpeg to a DVD as a data file in Nero. Some DVDs will play them others wont - you'd need to try it to find out.0

Auto gordian is a free program

That when used can convert a dvd (along with additional software for ripping) and or can convert a mpeg2 file to XViD and is dead easy to use. It does take time though but the quality is good.
No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -

what are the filetypes angela?
if they are mpeg1 / mpeg2 / mpg you can just burn them as a VCD with Nero
If they are divx or xvid you will need to re encode them with software as stated above.
avi files can be a bit more tricky, all depends on what the container informaion is saying.£2 savers club = £83.500 -
What is the best video file type, ie avi, mpeg, to burn via nero to dvd.
I have tried different software but still not sure.
Thanks for any help received0
