Well done, sounds great :) I was going to try sitters for childcare but can't as they won't deal with families with children with special needs, which is a shame.

I live in Durham but Sitters as a rule won't allow them to look after children with special needs, one of those things I suppose. In all honesty my son would usually be asleep before I would go out anyway if it was a social evening as I always do with my BIL, but rules are rules and wouldn't lie to them just to get a babysitter.
One day I might be more organised...........

if you were local id loved to have done it ;)

youd think though with all the sitters being qualified / experienced they would have some who have special needs experience & they would offer that service, equal opps n all that

Try going into local preschools/ nurserys/creches and ask in there. As they're not tied to agency rules they may babysit for you.

Well I've had a busy few days. Was babysitting last Saturday, Speedway on Sunday, at a concert Monday and only spent money on food and car parking in Glasgow City Centre (£12) even although I saw the most perfect pair of shoes and went window shopping in Primark!! Was babysitting again last night and have been shattered today. But its all worth it, my babysitting money fund is now up to £128 and thats in 12 days so not doing to badly and have managed to save every penny. Have not been tempted to dip into the money at all :)

I just hope I can keep it going.

Yet another successful night babysitting last night with my total earnings now at £163. Not bad for 3 weeks babysitting. In the lead up to Christams I'm hoping it is going to be busy so I can hopefully earn more money.

In wish I had had the willpower years ago to save the way I am now. I guess the last year I've had the kick up the backside I needed to wake up and get my finances into order, in a somewhat drastic way but its worked.

I didn't have any babysitting jobs last weekend but was babysitting again last night and I have another one next thursday.

I have paid for my 2007 Speedway season ticket with the babysitting money I have made in the the last month :) It is the 1st time ever I have just handed over the money to my parents without them actually having to ask for it (We pay altogether as it's easier than 3/4 cheques being sent)

Next money saving venture will be holiday money for 2007 for a couple of planned weekend trips away :)
