Best practice in my view is to park where there is a double row. Drive forward over the 1st one, park on the 2nd and drive of forwards. Simple, just don't hit the car doing the same thing from the opposite direction:rotfl:

I think it was Lum that hit the nail, check back with tesco about any cctv coverage, if there is it will be very usefull. ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

The OP should simply leave it in the hands of her insurance company. Explain exactly what happened, and if need be, go back to Tescos and take some photos of the space where she reversed out of. Tell them your exact position when you were hit, and take photos of the damage to your car.
I have seen numerous near misses in supermarket car parks, where people suddenly reverse out of a space as a car is passing. Some drivers seem to think that taking a chance and hoping that nothing is coming is a good way to drive, rather than slowly reversing out, looking all around, not just using the rear view mirror. Disabled spaces do have more side room than normal spaces, so the lateral vision is improved.

Road traffic act applies on car parks too so just apply the rules, but drive slowly, cars reversing out are not unexpected, actually they are to be expected ;)

Excellent point - one for the OP to make a note of I think :)
