oh Selfridges oxfort st! I went there on Monday if only I knew about the offer before

As for my London trip, thankfully I had other things to do than just getting freebies. I only got 1 chanel mascara and Estee Lauder night repair from Debenhams, a few perfume samples here and there. Quite disappointed.
The Lanvin Rumeur, issey miyake, elisabeth arden, clarins, estee lauder perfume+night repair samples, mascara are all out of stock everywhere.

Rudest staffs have to be from fragrance department in Debenhams. I was bounced from one counter to the other because each staff has his own fragrance department. It was such a hassle I left.

Can't be bothered to get freebies from London anymore. They run out of stock quickly and the people are not nice! I better stay in Leeds where the staff are so helpful and I get much more samples. Only 1 week-end between the days Julie and I went to London and look how quickly they go.

Now I have many printed vouchers left ready to be used for my next trip in Leeds

So sorry to hear about your experiences in London shops. But I'm so happy for you that everywhing was OK, and your trip was successful in other - perhaps more important - matters.

So nice to see staff in Leeds are nice and helpful - MK staff are nice too.

Loads of the staff told me they were out of stock then i walked round the counter and got my friend to ask someone eles, who did give us some. this happens at least 5 times! They had all kind of excues, when they said they had none i said thats really bad that you are promoting something on your web site and you dont have any can i have the tel No for head office please, or speak to a manager. That line got the samples out quicker than you would belive, They said, oh looks like there is one left!! You have to be pushy:D

DH has been laughing at me since. He told me before that I wouldn't get anything in London and everytime I came out from a store he would ask me how many I got knowing I didn't get anything or just 1 LOL

I'm going in Leeds centre next Tuesday for my free herbal essence haircut and looking forward for some freebies . The good thing about Leeds is that Debenhams, Harvey Nichols and house of fraser are just 3-4 shops apart, very close

It's funny how it all depends on who you ask. You either get a nice staff and get loads or a bad one and get nothing. Someone from the Estee Lauder counter even gave me the phone number of the marketing department to enquire about the fragrance samples as they had no clue about the promotions. It's their job to call, not mine :mad:

Anyway, London is too much hassle for me LOL
I've just sent a complaint letter to Debenhams about how rude the staff were.

Well done for sending out that letter to Debenhams. I emailed them some months ago with a complaint, and got what looked like a standard reply back. Not impressed, to say the least. :rolleyes:

or act really hurt and say 'oh no, ive already been to selfridges, debenhams, boots, blah blah....' they usually give you somethign in that case

I said that, which was true because I didn't get anything or just 1-2 from the other stores, but didn't work either
I even used the sensitive skin excuse and still zero samples lol

no way, theyre uber-mean where you live! then again my mum says ive turned it into a business coz ive got the curse of the 'cute face' i look about 14 or something and do very good puppy dog eyes hehe!
