Have just come across this great thread.
Can I just ask whether, when you have vouchers, do you HAVE to have the 'free consultation' or do you not get offered.
I'd hate the thought of sitting there while they poke at my face!0 -
Some people love the pampering - but I must admit that I'm not too keen on being preened on the shopfloor while most of the people I've met in my life walk past and grin!
If it's one of the consultation ones, I try the line that "I said I'd collect this for my pregnant sister - do you have any in?" or something like that. Then if they insist on the facial I can say I didn't know & that I'll tell her about it. But normally they'll just hand it over.0 -
With all the samples ive collected not one has offerd me a consutation, and the one i do really want (Chanel) ive lost my invite with luxury sample:mad:
Tomorrow iam going to search the house top to bottom! I went into Boots today as bought the hugo boss femme, really lovely fragrance it came with a body moisterzer.I tried to use the £5 voucher that they have been giving out lately but wouldnt go through so phoned custmor service to complain and was given £5 back in ac points. I bought two sets one for my friends birthday and one for me, just couldnt help my selfPeople who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

some sa's insit that you do and soem cant be bothered and just hand over teh freebie, its sometimes better to have the consultation as you can then squeeze them for samples of everthing they recomend for your skin:T The best things in life are FREE! :T0 -

Just to say that the Celluli-Choc stuff from Biotherm is gorgeous (normally very expensive), and the size of the sample if generous methinks.
Got one earlier this year, from a local Biotherm counter. The SA mentioned that the offer was not very recent, but in the end she gave me the sample, all smiling.
Result! :j

I've already posted this on the 'Magazine offers' thread, but thought I should post it here too. Hope someone finds this useful.
Taken from the latest issue (November 2006) of Glamour magazine - 2 very nice offers:
-on page 38: ‘Visit the Biotherm counter today for a special Bioscan skin check-up (…) Biotherm skincare experts will recommend what your skin needs, and you can take home a selection of samples. Pick up a stylish pouch too, available exclusively at the Biotherm counter at Selfridges Oxford Street, Manchester Exchange Square and Birmingham Bullring. Samples and pouches subject to availability, whilst stocks last. Offer available from October 12-31, 2006’. I don’t know whether you have to take Glamour with you when visiting Biotherm, they don’t mention anything about this.
-on pages 266-267 there is a Body Shop advertorial, which reads: ‘Fabulous free makeover! Treat yourself to a mini makeover at your nearest The Body Shop store (…) Be sure to pick up your free samples of super glossy Hi-Shine Lip Treatment, and rich, long-lasting Lip Colour in store (whilst stocks last)’. Similarly, they don’t say whether you need to take Glamour with you when visiting The Body Shop.
Worth checking methinks.'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0
