home access laptop help

I have got a laptop from the home access scheme and it is really slow. it will only have one internet window open at a time and is starting to drive me stir crazy:mad: It has loads of added exras very few i use, but have no idea what I can remove without causing damage. can anyone help????? PLEASE???? Some of the things include kaspersky security. home access activation tool, 3connect, apple application support, read and and write home access(370mb:eek:) ect loads of toshiba stuff and all the normal ( well i presume normal) microsoft and windows stuff.

What spec is the laptop? what version of Windows?

It has windows 7 it is a toshiba satelite pro 450 with 2gig ram.

Download and install CCleaner

Open the program and go to Tools > Startup.. In the right hand corner you will see a button on which is written 'save to text file'. Click on it and save the text file produced to your Desktop.
Open the text file and copy & paste the contents here.
I will tell you which you can safely disable.

You didn't quite follow the instructions. Though quite close.

It's Tools > Startup not Tools > Uninstall.

We can keep what you posted though, as we can also uninstall some things; such as the Yahoo Toolbar, Toshiba TEMPRO, Toshiba Photo Service, Toshiba Product Information...will take a look at what else later. So uninstall first and then post the Startup list.

Whilst you are at it. If you are given the option to make Recovery Discs, do so.

Just checking NetIntelligence... yes disable that too. You should do it from within the CCleaner interface.

Reboot and see how so slow it is now. We can uninstall a bit more.

Do you actually want NetIntelligence installed?

If you don't, perhaps you can use something like Belarc Advisor to retrieve the licence code and then uninstall it. If you need it later, you can maybe download it from the website and use your licence to activate.

With my Toshiba machine I simply ran a clean install with my own Windows 7 disc. Starts up in a flash.

thanks I am sure I have got rid of it before, but will try again. My laptop didn't come with a windows disk and came pre installed with loads of stuff that i dont want, but dont know what is safe to remove. it came from the home access scheme cause we were skint lol.
