  • Yeah there's a big storage unit near me, self storage warrington.

I've not personally rented any space but the rates do look quite good.

We are contemplating something similar when/if we sell our house next year.

Has anyone used a removal company which also offers storage, when they have sold up but don't yet have a property to move to?

I am looking into that now harz as we have a 2 week gap between our properties. At the moment I have just one quote which is about £900 including storage.
I think it works out more because they charge separately to take to storage and then deliver to the new property, the storage itself is about £10 per week. We thought about doing it ourselves but moving twice in 2 weeks just doesn't bear thinking about

If anyone can suggest London based companies that offer this service please let me know!

i did it with big yellow which is probably the most expensive (i didnt shop around, too busy and stressed), make sure the insurance doesnt catch you out, its quite expensive

but regardless of the cost, i would say its well worth doing, a lot less stressful

When I put stuff into storage and wanted it out again, with Pickfords, they had an option whereby I told them I was ready to receive my stuff, but they picked the date. What they do is, where they have a spare slot in a van, they stick your container on the van and tell you it's coming. If you've got 3 containers, it might all arrive on different days, but if you're at home or can be at home easily then it's cheaper than picking a specific date for them to bring all your stuff at the same time.

I think they called it "part load".

I've used Pickfords twice for this. And a family member has also used Pickfords twice for this. They're just brilliant, but a bit pricey on the storage.
