ah, its all give and take.....
sometimes we party and sometimes we listen to others partying
if its over by 21.30 its no big deal surely?
Disagree here (i seem to be making a habit of this)
I have kids and they go to bed before 21:30, so although its not late, if it is after there bed time and effects them then its a deal.
Equally its repeative, so it might be like Chinese water tourture. The mear fact the OT cam on here and had a rant I would say means it is effect them.
There is give and take, but its a two way street. Have a word, politly and friendly. They probobaly dont know it is affecting you. try and take all emtion out of the situation. If it then continues I would complain.
If it was a one off then for sure live and let live.....but it isnt.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Is there a hall on camp or in the community centre where they can meet and celebrate instead?
It would drive me mad.... the families' officer or the padre might be able to have a quiet word for you as well - he could just be visiting at that momentand decide to go and see what it was all about.

I'd put Queen Night at the Opera on full whack next time. I am not very tolerant though.
Last time I had that situation I knocked on the door and told them to shut up, but to be fair I had just brought home my 4 hour old baby and they were screaming at each other and smashing things up.0 -
Is there anyone of a Senior Rank living close by who could have a word with them and tell them to keep the noise down or find somewhere else to have their meeting?
If not try the Families Officer - surely there's rules about not annoying your neighbours - perhaps they aren't aware of the problems they're causing.0 -
Sam, Julie.
I think the thread has run its course, the OP wanted to simply rant about neighbours and not really take any action as the events were finished by 9:30pm roughly.
Im sure through the summer the OP would return the favor by having BBQ's & friends around for drinks, sitting in the garden and enjoying themselves into the early hours of the morning.
For me though, I would be happy that this is the only noise that you hear, and not some midnight/early morning bedroom acts of passion every few nights..
