Section 75 advice needed - can`t find the answer anywhere :)

The only way I can think you can make that sort of money, is by advertising for other people to pay £5K to go on the course.
Definitely sounds too good to be true.
The credit card company are technically jointly liable, but you have to be very careful about what is promised.
I can't see how they could make such a guarantee for anybody of any level of skill to make that sort of money.
Sound dodgy to me.0 -
Also you need to check you are really paying THEM with your credit card and not via a 3rd party payment company.
If everything legally is in place, perhaps you can make a claim and take it to court if necessary. Of course the judge might pack you off home saying you have been very very silly. Then you'll be on appeal to the Court of Appeal!0 -
If it is a scam I'll bet they won't take a credit card payment.0

thanks to all of you for your advice , i just went to www. businessopportunitywatch. com to check this out , there rating was 2 out of 10 .... hmmm , anyway still tempted to look at what they have to offer , i can always pull out if hte contract looks dodgy ...however i would still like to know if i am protected against the pure fraud element of someting like this . obviously i understand that there may be contractual loopholes to allow for non payment , but for future reference i would love to know if a company blatantly "ran away" with my money , whether i would be covered by section 75....0

There is no hard and fast answer I'm afraid - the fact that you even have to ask makes me think you smell a rat - go with your instincts!!!

Sweetheart - I'd steer clear of even looking at what they are offering. It is surprising how many otherwise rational, intelligent, even cynical , people go down that road thinking "I can always walk away if it's a con", only to end up being convinced by the marketing hard-sell into parting with their cash. If the company thinks they might have hooked an Acidtest fish, they will pull out every maggotty trick in the book to reel it in. Walk away from them, and be all the richer for having done so.

What is teh actual scheme, chances are some on here have gone for it and have experience.0

There is also a difference between having rights (eg s75) and enforcing them. It CAN be a major hassle.0

"if it sounds too good..." category.
Why does no one ever finish this sentence?? How does it finish?
I would have thought - "...then it must be amazing."Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
