  • You are lucky that you are a relatively standard size and have a choice of possible clothes. Imagine the challenge were you to be built a la Widdecombe?! And I'm with kezbabybabe - trousers, no matter what show you're doing - even Jeremy Vine! Likewise that if they hired you for your savvy, then your trous are surely less of an issue than your intelligence? :)

Pants! Are you American? Trousers, Martin, trousers, you're British after all. ;)

Perhaps he meant knickers? Although why he would buy brown ones escapes me :rotfl:
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

    You're really not helping!!:rotfl:

I know it's a pain not being able to wear your jeans but it's only for a relatively short period; just get changed straight after; problem reduced significantly. :)

As for trousers, I've always found Gap and Next to be the best fits.

Guess you'll get used to wearing them whilest doing your 'shift' as long as you stay the same and work:money: the same we'll forgive your trousers!!!

    Daybreak is rubbish.

It will do nothing for your credibility.

Baldie Brum and PaddyWAG are a MONUMENTAL FAIL on that programme.

...perhaps they should go back to sleeping together again *coughs*

  • Anyone remember Channel 4's RI:SE? And new look Working Lunch?

Also don't neglect charity shops for your clothing needs!
  • I was wondering why you needed new underwear when I read about the pants too. Should've called them 'slacks'.

I have only caught 'Daybreak' once, will try it agin if I have the time and inclination.

Glad to hear about the vouchers too.

Shame they didn't ask you to buy new clothes sooner - the sales are just about over!

I can't get into Day Break either. It's too much like the one show, which was fine for light evening entertainment but not morning news. Maybe if they had brought in unknown presenters or preferably kept the old ones it would be ok. BBC has me for the time being.

I was prepared to give it a chance but I feel asking Martin to smarten up his image is appalling. Do the producers not have eyes!!! Remember the fuss when Ben Shepherd started on GMTV and didn't wear a tie!!! Adrian Chiles looks like he has just rumpled out of bed. He slumps and he has mismatched jackets and trousers. I would much prefer a smart pair of jeans with a nice tailored shirt!

I have jumped ship to Sky news. I was getting a little bored with GMTV and it needed shaking up but I can't watch daybreak.
