Can I cancel Orange Care insurance?
Hi,
my contract with Orange ran out recently, so I phoned up retentions and haggled myself a new deal on the Samsung Galaxy S. I was put on a 24m Canary contract at a cost of £20 a month, and also Orange Care insurance at £6 a month (total monthly bill = £26)
Now, did I sign up to the Orange Care insurance for the 24 months of my contract, or can I cancel it before that time? I've read the T&C and the closest I've found to answering my question is;
"Orange Care is subject to a minimum term of 4 months and maximum of 5 years"
Only reason I ask is I've wondered what would happen if I sold my handset, would I have to still pay the £6 a month to Orange Care for a phone I no longer own, or could I transfer my policy to a new handset?
Thanks for any help.

I would imagine that now you've signed up for it you're stuck with it for 4 months.
If Orange are anything like Three then the price of the insurance will vary according to the value of the handset. Should you change handsets then the price may go up, down or stay the same, depending on how much it's worth.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

You can't transfer Orange care. It cover the handset they supply and only that handset. If you go out and buy another you need to cancel OC as soon as you can as they won't even replace with the old one as you've not been using it (the network logs the IMIE every time the phones used so they can tell)...0
