Motorists - New Law! 'At least two wheels must be off the road...'

As a wheelchair user I am getting more and more annoyed at people parking their cars significantly up on the pavement with total disregard for the likes of myself and pram users.Having to leave the kerb onto a busy road is frightening enough for me as well as oncoming traffic and remounting the kerb is no easy matter either! It's becoming an epidemic...

agree, although being a motorist as well (not that i do the parking on the curb bit), some may say it's so their wing mirrors don't get hit, simple solution push them in, don't take 5 seconds of inconvenience and saves ages trying to get around a car and back on the pavement.

Although I have a cantankerous streak that wants me to scratch the side of the car just because it would pee off the car owner. (not done it yet though)

I agree. Its a busy society,we are over populated, there are cars and people everywhere. I guess we will all just have to learn to tolerate eachother and get along.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

Yes its very annoying and dangerous for you to go around the vehicle, my suggestion would be to take a camera with you and get a photo with the registration number and give it to the police or traffic warden ....:D

well, to those who say "its so there wing mirrors dont get hit", my daughter whos a tall 5year old, walked in to a vans wing mirror, they were parked with 2 wheels on the pavement, she had a lovley blue egg pop up on the top of her head. unfortunatly, i didnt see the danger, as i was to buisy trying to get my pushchair through the narrow gap remaining on the pathway.

Your wing mirrors are probably more likely to get hit if the car is parked on the kerb.

I'm not sure what's worse - those who park on pavements or those who park a meter from the kerb - how hard is it to park a bloody car?
