Oh my.....:eek: That's pretty much the same spec of a Medion machine I bought more than three years ago from Woolworths for....£250. That included a printer.0 -

See;
Much the same. Spent £25 on a graphic card upgrade.
I want to squeeze his neck. I think he may have used second hand parts. I would fix it for you for free. You really don't need to spend £500 to £600 in oder to obtain a machine suitable for your usage. Unless that includes a three year onsite warranty.0 -
I'm sorry Donnie, I haven't been on MSE for a little while but JasX has found Lifeis's thread on here and you have found one of her other threads.
Here's a few suggestions, Lifeis. They are all capable of fulfilling your computer needs.Don't forget that you can claim back the VAT because your new computer will be a business expense.
This PC from Ebuyer has no operating system but, if you feel up to it, you can install one yourself. It costs £230 (£196 ex vat)

Windows 7 Professional £159 (£135 ex vat) from Ebuyer. I may have picked the wrong version but I'm sure somebody will be along soon to correct me...

If you can't be faffed with installing operating systems etc then Amazon has this Zoostorm Pc for £313 (£266 ex vat) It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium.

Finally Ebuyer have a Zoostorm business PC for £388 (£330 ex vat). The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.

You were right.
I wouldn't recommend buying a PC in that way, unless the OP has the possibility to purchase an extended service contract at a reasonable price. In addition, I don't know if Zoostorm have an online resource for drivers etc.
Better to purchase a more well supported system when it comes to a business computer for someone who isn't well versed with the technical aspect.0 -
Though since the OP already has a monitor and peripherals, perhaps she only needs a new tower. Of course what she really needs is a decent computer technician.
