Thanks Lou and Stressed. I had a lovely uninterrupted sleep :D.

Going to my uncle's mum's funeral today. I don't possess a pair of black trousers so have got some tights and black skirt on. I hate tights, they are so so itchy. Must get a pair of black trousers at some point for times like this.

My mum and sister were asking me what I wanted for my birthday yesterday. I'm not sure what to ask for. I can always put together a list consisting of several items of clothing/DVDs/beauty products etc etc. I also really want an Apple Macbook, so I could ask for money towards that. But then again I also want a Nintendo 3DS but have a feeling that OH might buy me one of those. If I asked for money towards my Macbook though I would have to give it to my mum to save or I would spend it on bills or something. Decisions, decisions.

Off to get on with some work now - funeral isn't until 1.30pm.

Wow Emily I wince with sympathy with the hand. I have a vivid memory of getting my little finger trapped in a car door when I was about! Ouch.

sorry about the funeral, hope it goes ok.

Well the funeral went as well as you can expect. My uncle was quite upset which in turn made me a bit upset - he is like a dad to me. He seemed ok at the wake though. I think it's always a relief to get the funeral over with. That's what I was dreading when my dad and Joshua died.

OH is at the gym at the moment and has said he will buy us a takeaway when he gets back (I think he is missing the point of actually GOING to the gym :rotfl:). Still, I am dying for a chicken curry so who am I to complain? ;)

I survived the day without spending any money as my uncle got me a drink at the wake and I made it last all afternoon. I also avoided having any lunch as I knew there would be food there.

Redeemed for another £5 Amazon voucher from Lightspeed but underestimated the amount I already had in there so I now have just over £23.

Got my shopping safe and sound this afternoon. My freezer is bulging now :D. I also got a couple of freebies this morning: a sample of suntan lotion and a full size Colgate mouthwash to trial for 2 weeks.

I had another bad night's sleep. Ended up getting out of bed at 4am and playing on Bingoport! I think we are going to sell my bed and sleep on the mattress for a bit. I think I have also convinced OH that we don't need an £800 bed. It is an ottoman bed which has storage underneath and that's why we were going to buy it as storage is seriously lacking in my flat since OH moved in.

However, I think with a bit of a declutter, we could make do without the storage. I have found this bed in Argos:

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6660956/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CHome+and+furniture%7C14417894/c_2/2%7C14417894%7CBeds%7C14418191.htm

and it would cost us just over £150 each, which I think I could make from selling my old bed and some other bits and pieces. Would be great if it didn't cost me anything.

Anyway, enough rambling for me. Off for my tea :D.

I am so so angry at the moment. I have just found out that my OH has purchased some seats for his car from eBay - they cost him £920!!!! Flipping £920!!!!!! And the best part about it is.........wait for it.........they are in Nottingham!!!! Nearly 200 miles away. He is waiting until he gets paid a week on Friday before he collects them. What an unbelievable waste of money.

No wonder he was so keen to get a cheaper bed.

No, we don't have any joint finances thank god. He pays half of the rent and bills a month and that is it. However, he has debts and owes his parents a fortune (more fool them for continuing to lend him money in the first place). Just annoys me that at times I struggle to afford petrol and food and yet he can just pay out over £1k on a pair of seats.

Oh, and yes his car does have seats. And it is possible to sit on them too!!! I really don't get it. Aren't seats just seats??????
