Opinions on this netbook please?

M&S netbook reduced by £80 from £280 to £200. Has XP and 2 year guarantee. Any thoughts? Need to replace my dying acer aspire one......... Thanks

My personal preference is not to get one with xp.

why not xp? daft point.

The unit is very basic, and a similar one can be bought a bit cheaper (2 year warranty isn't bad though) - depends on your needs. Bloody awful colour (that's my preference)

Nothing wrong with XP.

How is your acer aspire dying? Machines may fail, but they are either working or not, never dying.

Actually netbooks only run best on windows xp. The windows 7 starter is terrible piece of OS. You need to get at windows 7 premium. So stick with windows xp. You will also need 2gb RAM.

I would suggest you look at other netbooks.

Click on netbook review in google.

You can netbooks much cheaper and better than this price.

Thats really not true, my samsung n220 with win7 starter runs better that the old xp one I had with pretty much the same spec, not to mention with only 1 gb of ram. And everyone knows netbooks run best on linux;)

Acer aspire has no icons to turn off /time missing/ no wirelessm icon cannot get onto internet. has a funny grey box on desktop screen that says new item not configured yet......have to take the battery out to turn it off. linux os. cant get anyone to even look at it as out of warranty and everybody local will only do windows. so fed up with it. other things seem to be ok like webcam etc. so maybe not dying but under the weather! thanks all
