  • I DO like it BUT the links on the Headlines don't work! all the other links are fine. Does anyone else have the same problem?
  • I really like it! I love that it's clearer and easier to read in an e-mail. Just have a couple of issues.

    1. On my e-mail (maybe a GMail problem?), you can't read the title at the top ("MoneySavingExpert.com weekly email") because it's white text on a very light grey background. You can see this here.

    2. I don't like the plethora of different fonts, font sizes and colours. It reminds me of a home-made Geocities webpage from the mid-90s! Have a look at this section to see what I mean.

Congratulations, it's a big improvement and I'm sure it will continue to be tweaked to be even better!

Looks like it isn't just me then - see here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=36628337&postcount=8

  • Sorry but I don't like the columns at the start. In fact I don't like columns at all, makes for annoying scrolling up and down.
  • Correction:comment should have been "Less is More"

Well, maybe the LAYOUT is better but you need to supply a magnifying glass or something so it can be read.

Yes, there is a button at the top in even smaller font, that says click through to read it on line but that web one is not the same at all.

Fair enough that the web designers can say the text can be increased on a website, but on an email it is pretty-much fixed at 0.0001 Font size. (No, that button does nothing.)

So, can the clever IT guy that reduced the font size -- yes, that cute little 19-year old with superman/girl Xray vision -- can they please restore the fond size, eh?

I know you think, well, most people like the new layout and we have statistics and MPs who say it is great....blah blah. BUT it is discriminatory against those who are hard of sight (those not able to see well) and there is a law on it... so please review it.

I use: BTInternet server, and Outlook Express.

Appols if I sound annoyed. Like the MSE generally.
  • Love the new look to the email. although for some odd reason the subject is coming up with just random letters....

Does this happen to any other Gmail users ie the white text on a light grey background for the header?

Yeah... I get this same problem when reading in Hotmail...

Overall it's a simpler layout, but will take some getting used to after 5-years of the previous version ;-)
