We went for something to eat in the restaurant ... I fed her in the restaurantwe went into one of the storeswe decided to get a bit of shopping from the supermarket just across the road
If so, the advice by other posters still stands (ignore their begging letters as you were morally entitled to use their facilities as a paying customer) but the receipts will help you sleep better at night knowing that you have an ace up your sleeve in the virtually negligible eventuality that they do take you to court. The receipts will prove that the landowners have suffered no material loss as a result of your presence.
Not only that, but you didn't enter into, nor sign any contract. Any assumed contract was written in a manner too small to have been understood by a driver whilst in charge of a motor vehicle and fulfilling his obligations under section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (driving with due care and attention to persons using the road or other public place). Throw that at them in court0 -
As the car park was free, and you have spent money at various food and retail oulets during your stay, there is no consequential loss, under any contract as an overstay of an hour at £free = £0 loss, so nothing to ground a case at County court, yes it is civil not criminal, They won't sue you as they know they will lose, and probably be lambasted by the judge for a frivoulous case. Ignore ignore ignore.0

It sounds to me like you gave each of these companies custom and spent money with them. Did you keep the receipts?

Thank you for this, I dont think we have receipts but we did pay by card everywhere so we have that as proof which is just as good. We shall wait and see then.0
