I've only got them in the kitchen but they have been there for at least a couple of years. I wonder if its to do with ventilation at all, in my el cheapo fitting the bulbs are completely exposed.
It is due to ventilation I think. The bulbs are completely covered in its metallic casing and heats up a lot.0 -

Yes, they should have them instore.
Incidentally, it's always worth having a look inside their 'Basics' ones, as they're sometimes the philips ones in different packaging, not always though.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
