Can anyone recommend a good cheap hotel near Harrods this December?

It will be first weekend in December probably (Fri & Sat)
Would prefer to be within walking distance (even if 15 or 20 mins) as I'm really not keen on the tube and we'll have a young toddler in tow.
Thanks for all the suggestions! Keep 'em coming!
Trust me, if my family can master the tube you can!!

If you hang about too long all the cheap travelodge rooms will be gone
There are buses and taxis in London too0 -

We took our daughters to Olympia last year and although they loved the tube they adored the buses, especially if they could get front seats on the top deck! We even stayed on it one night for a couple of trips around Oxford Street and seeing the lights.:D
Premier Inn Kensington or Olympia with a bus literally up the road straight to Harrods - great route as well.0 -
I'm looking for a cheap, good hotel in London for a short stay in early December.
Sorry SneakyP, you're going to have to make your mind up! I'm afraid it's one or the other, ESPECIALLY if you want to be within 15 minutes walking distance of Harrods in December! Sheesh!
I've just found this for you - the Wedgewood Hotel - which is a two star hotel coming up at £74 per night for a triple. I'd say it's more like a 20 - 25 minute walk to Harrods, but seriously, if us Londoners can manage public transport with babies and toddlers in tow, so can everyone else!
I was looking for the Luna and Simone hotel (google it!) which is in Westminster - cheap and nice enough (small but clean and comfortable) but coming up at £100 per room.
You could also consider a triple room at the Palmers Lodge hostel in Swiss Cottage (definitely a bus / tube ride away) at £25 - £30 per person, per night.0
