orange ending contract and unlock code

looking for advice please, i am almost at the end of contract and have phoned orange to notify them i want to cancel, i also want to put in writing to them, try as i might i cannot find address to send to, there are several different addresses on the orange site i even went to orange shop and even they cant tell me where to write to, explaining addresses have changed due to merger with t mobile they also stated no need to write to cancel.
another problem! i have been asking for the unlock code for the last 6 weeks[local shops either cant unlock it or want more than the £20 orange charge] they promise to sent it in 7-14 days it never arrives,the last time i contacted them they assured me they would e-mail it to me,stiil havnt got it.are orange obliged to supply me with the code? thanks.

I believe networks are expected to supply you with your PAC within 3 working days but I don't know of any rules regarding unlock codes. Since they have to get the codes from the manufacturer, I guess it would be unfair to put a time constraint on how quickly they get the code to you as much of the process is out of their hands.

thanks for the reply, have just got off the phone again to orange. they are going to send the pac code within 2-3 days. they inform me the phone is generic they cant supply unlock code,and to go back to cpw. if i ever get the back off it i will have to check its not already unlocked!!!!!
orange told me they do not accept cancellation of contracts in writing.
