as per my earlier post the t&c's are - "We try to have accurate pricing and availability information on all the products we offer; despite our best efforts, a small number of the products in our catalogue may be mispriced or have inaccurate stock availability information. We do verify prices as part of our acceptance procedure, and will inform you if a product’s correct price is higher than that stated in your order, so you may ultimately decide whether or not to order the product at the correct price."
Saying that if you have had an email stating that the reason for the order cancelled is that it's discontinued, whilst it obviously hasn't, then you do have a case to fight - make sure you take a screen-print of the product available at the higher price as evidence.
My order (of 1) was placed at 8.08 - yet to recieve an email.0 -
No emails at all for me. On the order tracking page it says waiting to be shipped, whatever that means. Guess they can still cancel it though...Debt Free Nerd No. 89, LBM: April 2006, Debt at highest (Sept 05): £40,939.96

timbellina wrote:No - that's about abuse. MSE is a "community" (look it up in a dictionary) whereby the members help each other. When someone abuses an offer in this way, the rest of the community suffers.
Hmmm...how about this for an idea. This was clearly not an "offer", it was obviously a mistake. Whilst I agree with the whole "screw the global corporations for every penny" ethos that runs through a lot of this board, I often wonder how discerning we all are about the type of company we are shafting (I appreciate that this is larger company). If we assume that several hundred orders went through and, by some bizarre twist of fate, credit cards were charged and goods were dispatched, what does that really mean. Let's say the cost of these units to the company is £200 a piece and 1000 people ordered them. Even for a large company that is one hell of a loss (especially if the company is struggling financially).
The point that I am making I suppose is...do we ever think of the company we are trying to pull one over on and if not, should we ? I don't know the answer, but I would interested to hear what you think.0 -
Just tried ordering one - they are discontinued now0
