I see no square picking tomorrow, next time is on Sunday.

    Where does it say that?
  • I think the problem is that everybody knows this is easy money. Remember there are only around 24,000 squares available each day. It was very easy to select a square in the early days of the competition, but it has been noticeable harder in the last week or so. Managed to select a square today but experienced all the problems everybody else has mentioned.
I don't think we can really blame Walkers, as there has to be a limit on the number of people that can enter each day. If it was unlimited and 500,000 entered and it rained everywhere it would cost them £5m.
Overall my family has won £250, and we have found we win around 20% of the time. This is despite checking the weather forecast and choosing squares where the BBC say it will rain, although at least 50% of the time they are wrong. Walkers have been crafty in only allowing the selection of 3 hour slots as I have had numerous occassions when it has rained, but not in the three hour slot I have selected. Like others I don't think they are always right, but there is no comeback. Last week I drove across the pennines in pouring rain at the time I had selected, and had a square selected on the top of Kinder Scout, and according to Walkers it didn't rain.

I agree with most of your post. I do think Walkers made a mistake printing so many codes. I've won a few times, but mostly rained at the wrong time.

So it does, thank you for noticing ;)
  • Definitely fishy goings on for yesterday - we have another experience here of it raining solidly all day udring the hours of daylight yet the map says no rain at all...methinks there is some damage limitation going on.

Who is going to prove that they've cheated though?
