Is this a usb printer lead. I want to see if my cable has 'gone' tried two printers which i cannot get to work. trying cable before i buy a new printer.

yea, it's known as a USB A - B cable and can be used to connect your printer to your computer.0

I'd be very surprised if it's a faulty cable.
Do other things (eg a mouse or pen drive) work in the port?
Have you installed the printer drivers?
Have you tried a known working port?0 -

Yes to usb host controllers.
Opened device manager. No yellow diamonds. Opened up everything no yellow streaks at all.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0
