I am absolutely outraged that they have removed the original entitlement letter-surely that is illegal!!
If it is any consolation I would have done exactly the same as you.
  • plus, i chose to leave that contract also where no money had been paid to me and no work had been done by me. This shows also that I had chosen to return to the UK off my own steam.

Can you just confirm your age again, for me?
  • im 28 (which, my student union rep was surprised i received a letter saying something about my entitlement not changing since they contacted my sponsors, as i'm clearly an indepenent student)

Right, that's another avenue closed. This isn't going to be a quick fix, but I'll give it a go.
  • Thank you Taiko. I really appreciate all this time you are putting in.

Excellent news! My appeal was successful, and i've been given full grants and loans. I am genuinely dancing around my room!

Thanks for all your help guys. I felt like dropping out a few weeks ago, but, my friend told me to 'never surrender!"

They said i had extenuating circumstances and my application should have been dealt with differently.

That's rather unexpected tbh. Like I said before, I'd have probably accepted it, but they'd made what I assumed was a final decision.

    Congratulations, it's genuinely shocked me.
