Sending a message on a k750i, please help
I've been given a new sony k750i by my daughter, so I put in my sim card, added all my contacts, paired my bluetooth headset and used it all day..........Great!
Then I thought I'd send a text to my wife.
I selected Messaging............then "Write new"............Then "Text message", and a message came up saying......."Set up required, for info contact your operator"
Can someone please tell this technophobe what I have to do next or talk me through it in very simple stages.
I just want to send the occasional text.
Please help an old man...............Thanks

Yes, I'm on O2 and the k750i is also locked to O2.0

when the message came up did you try run setup? as with this phone you need to set up the settings for each new simcard placed in the device. reboot the handset *switch off/on* and see if you can do the setup.
if it's still not working - let me knowтнє ѕє¢яєт тσ ¢яєαтινιту ιѕ кησωιηg нσω тσ нι∂є уσυя ѕσυя¢єѕ0 -

You need to enter the message centre number into your handset for your mobile operator. Either get this from your operators website of post details your operator.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
heres the o2 Message Service Centre settings
http://www.o2.co.uk/services/messaging/textmessaging/textmessagedevicesettings
if that doesnt work try doing what mostwanted said,go into menu, settings, general tab & scroll down to setup wizard.0 -
If you are still having problems, you can get the settings sent to your sony phone directly from sony
http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=gb&lc=en&ver=4000&template=ps3&zone=ps
Just select your phone, and which settings you require, most prob the mms ones for gprs.
Then which phone, country, provider, contract or prepay, and put in your number and they will text them to you0 -
Sorry, I had to go out after my last post,
