There is an eBay seller trying to sell customers their PUK code

This is free from the network, it's just you typing in the wrong PIN!!
I'm flabbergasted.

Annoying yes, but not sure there is anything wrong, illegal or against eBays terms here though. Just one of the many things for sale on eBay which are available free if people knew where to get the info. Very similar to those that sell discount codes which are readily available for free off the discount code thread on this website. Its annoying but far less so than the many outright fraudulent and illegal listing eBay is flooded with.littlestar1981 wrote:There is an eBay seller trying to sell customers their PUK code

I agree, it's pretty underhand selling something you can get easily for free if you know where to look.
But then, what he's doing is absolutely no different to those on here who sell freebie sim cards....

Many sellers offer free things. We had a thread here a week or so ago when I found something similar.
Personally I can't see anything wrong with it and certainly wouldn't regard it as scamming. There are hundreds of scam sellers getting away with much worse because of eBay's refusal to act on complaints. Just search on "Acer Ferrari" and you'll see some unbelievable deals. There's a reason they're unbelievable. Can I help?0 -
just noticed this
Seller's payment instructions
ON COMPLETION OF PURCHASE PLEASE SEND THE PHONE NUMBER OF THE SIM WITH YOUR PAYMENT THANKS
why pay when you can get it for free?0 -
I don't understand why we have to be warned about this seller...

What is he doing wrong?
OK he is selling stuff that you can get for free, but how many of you buy bottled water when you can get the same stuff out the tap?
