At long last I have got to the bottom of why I did not get paid last week. Even though my P45 made it to head office, my 'new employee form' didn't.
I filled-in another one yesterday, and the manager faxed it off.
Will be checking bank account tomorrow to see how much money 9 days pay comes-to. £200 is already allocated to getting the car fixed after my mechanic hooked it up to his computer thingy and discovered that not only had the speed sensor packed-up, but so had the throttle positioning sensor. Add to that, 1 coil (needs doing as has crack in the side) and a crankcase vent valve.

Still waiting for my cataract re-refferal, will have to chase this up as need it doing pretty urgently.

Yay!!, wages now in bank. I will however, have to wait 'til Friday for my wage slip so I can find-out my hourly rate. I did try 'thesalarycalculator', but it reckoned my hourly rate was £7.65. However, I may still be on emergency tax code so will just have to sit-tight and wait.

What at stinker!!, have been well and truly stitched-up by RFC Recruitment. They told me my job would be at £8.25 p/h, turns-out it is only £6.50 p/h.

Am now having to look for a way out that will leave me clear to sign back on the dole again. I don't actually mind the job, but at such a low hourly rate, I just cannot pay any of my bills, let alone put food on the table.

Must speak to JC+ to garner their advice.

    Update -
Spoke to HMRC last Friday, and am now on WTC.
Monday - had a chat with the manager (at his request), and told him the money issue had been sorted.
Tuesday - Got summonsed for another chat with the manager, this time it as to inform me that myself and 4 of my colleagues were being let-go (on a hopefully temporary basis) as the firm's main client had canceled the order.

Spent today phoning JC+, claim re-enabled, have meeting tomorrow. Phoned MPI providers, they will do a continuation of the original claim so no waiting 60 days for first payment.

It wasn't the highest-paid job, but it was a job. Anyway, got a letter from HMRC today, turns-out I was only entitled to £38 in WTC for the remainder of this tax year so would have had to take extra work to survive anyway.

Am now chilling-out listening to 'Fish - vigil in a wilderness of mirrors' via spotify.

Not been on for a while so here goes.

A week ago I contacted Ebay to ask if they would change my account back from business to private. Was asured it would be ok and that it would take 48 hours. Well, 72 hours later it still wasn't changed, contacted Ebay again and was told the same thing again. Along comes Sunday, and guess what?, my account still hasn't been changed, yet another live chat with Ebay, and yet another promise of 'It will be done in 72 hours'. Come-on Ebay, I have some stuff to sell BEFORE Christmas (I need the cash to buy pressies). 72 hours is up by Thurs. morning, so will update on this then.

On the plus side, have re-found the 'Comping' thread and have entered about 70 competitions (thank god for roboform). So with any luck I will win at least something of value.
I have also discovered the DFW photo comp thread, so have an excuse to take my new camera out (well, 2nd-hand to be more precise, and bought as I thought I had a secure job).

My M-i-L's food processor & hand blender have sold on ebay, so after fees, I got £1 and she got just over £14. One lessen to learn is to not to assume Royal Mail is cheapest for postage. When I listed my inlaws stuff as one lot, I left P&P at £8.75 thinking it would easily cover the postage. However, at 4.8Kg R/M wanted £9.99 (their prices have obviously gone-up). Ended up using Parcels2go at £8.21 via DHL Home Eco 3 day service.

Now I have mastered linking photos from Snapfish into my listings, I have got round to listing my old camera.
Tomorrow, as I have to wait in for DHL to collect a parcel, I can get on with photographing and listing a digital photo frame I bought but never used. Will be following this up with a moonlight, pet ramp & another food mixer, so looks like a busy week.

Am also now waiting to find out which surgeon will be doing my cataract op.

On the benefits front, by the time I next sign on, I will have switched to income-based JSA.
On the obs front, I got given info about an event next Wed. where I can get info on training programs. I will be seeing if I can get a free CSCS card.

Money-wise, Xmas has been 'postponed' until things are financially better.
