Had my interview today and realised that the requirements are way above my skill level so told them.

The current temp job looks like it might reach 6 weeks, so not worth worrying about the WTC form.

Well, no luck on the permanent job front yet, but have had a load of temp work in. Mind you, have had to limit it to 23 hours a week so as not to affect my wife's ESA (the only permanent income we have at the moment).

The £80 p/w ESA coupled to 23 hours at NMW brings-in around £220 p/w after deductions.

Spent today waiting in for the window repair man to come and fix a new handle on my window. Was told they would be there between 8:00 - 12:00, but they turned-up at 12:45.
This pi55ed me off as it meant having to stay in instead of being able to pop over to the bootsale to meet my old workmate for a cup of coffee.

Still, at least I had time to fill out the application form that came through the post this morning.

Have been enjoying the sunshine here. As my spouse is on ESA I am limiting my temp work to 23 hours a week so she doesn't lose her benefits.

Well, 3 weeks on and not much change here.
Still no permanent job (but am getting the odd day's work from the Agency).
Seriously looking into starting on my own as I can get stuff cheap off a mate (all above board) to sell-on. The great thing being if the stuff does not sell, he will refund me.

Looked on UJM, but it is out of action again (am unable to log-on to register jobs I have applied for).

Well, did a bootsale today and whilst I was selling stuff my phone went off. It was an agency with a long-term job offer.
40 hours a week at £8 p/hr. Must check to see if I can get WTC on top. Won't tell Stepchange or any of my creditors as I want to build up a good surplus (around £3,000) as an emergency fund.

Well, you wait for months for a job offer and now it appears I am in the running for 2 more.
The job I started yesterday is going well so I have employment at the moment whatever happens.

Before I had the phonecall regarding the job I am currently doing, I had applied for a store role and a role as a technician for a utility company.

On Monday, I had an email from the utility company with a link to an online test that I needed to take.
I also applied for a stores job.

Wednesday & I get a call regarding an inspection role within an architectural sheetmetal company. This then started Thursday.
Checked my emails and I have had one from the utility company stating that I have passed both the initial application & the online test and will be contacted at the end of August.

Thursday and after my first day back in work I check my mobile to find out that I have missed a call, so return it. It is the agency recruiting for the stores role. They need a copy of my driving license and FLT certificate, so I email these across.

Friday (today), my line manager asks if I will be coming back on Monday, so I say 'yes, of course'. Email from stores job with forms to fill-in and return, so spent this evening form-filling. Just got to post them tomorrow.

At least being back in work means I can now plan financially to reduce my debts.
I will wait until the dust has settled and then look to up my DMP to £5 per creditor per month as it only means £30 going out, which I can manage quite happily for the time being.
