New job, new beginnings.

Well, after I had logged-off yesterday I had a phonecall from an Agency offering me some FLT work for today.
I turned-up and did an hour before being sent home for being too slow (it was my first job actually driving a FLT after passing my test back in Feb., so not surprised there).
Applied for a couple more jobs today, so haven't just sat at home soaking up the sun. Also, got to go to a new Agency this afternoon for registration.Never Knowingly Understood.

Since my last posting I have had 1 day's work through another agency as a labourer on a building site. Alongside this, through the first agency, I have had a day's work in a factory and a day's work as a road worker.
Tomorrow, I start a 12-week run with agency no. 2 as a labourer. As they are such tightwads and are only willing to pay NMW, it looks like I am entitled to some WTC so am now just waiting for the forms so that I can get my claim in.
On the negative side, one of my loan providers has decided to get all legal and is threatening Court action. All I can say is good luck to them as if it goes to Court, I will still end-up paying the £1 per month that I am paying now. So they will have wasted a lot of expensive time for nothing.Never Knowingly Understood.

How's the job going?Trying to shift that debt!0

Was off sick today as my depression got the better of me and I began to doubt myself and even considered that, as I was now working at the bottom rung of the ladder doing what is a trivial job, I was in fact a failure.
Will go back in tomorrow.
On the up side, I have had another call from another Agency, so will have to go at lunchtime Friday to sign up with them as they have a potential job for me.Never Knowingly Understood.

If I get the job, then I will be on close on £20k p/a. This would enable me to actively get back on track with my debts and even clear-off 1 credit card by Christmas.
The potential employer has quite a reputation for treating it's staff well and is hard to get into so I am hoping that 16 years working for a near-rival along with 30 months experience in Q/C will be enough to get me through the door. If not, then there is the potential for another job as a machine minder for a few weeks covering for sick leave.Never Knowingly Understood.

Well, they say it never rains.....
Had a phonecall from an agency I have worked for before and they have some potentially (on-going) work in a jam factory near me. Having done a day there in the past, I know what it is like to work for and am happy to go back there.
The on-going nature of the job means that I will be able to apply for WTC (have been told I could get £75 p/w). This should enable me to get to grips with my overdraft and then to start to build some kind of emergency fund.
My long term plans are -
1. keep at least £500 in the account my wages go into.
2. Slowly clear overdraft on other account (from which most of my bills are paid).
3. Build up an emergency fund (at least £10 p/w).Never Knowingly Understood.
