I'm really embarrassed! I told my partner to post on this site thinking he would get some usefull information with legal advise and instead he gets a couple of idiots who think they are clever! No advise is needed in regards to MOT's or getting the car fixed as the garage are NOT INTERESTED in helping as clearly stated in original post!

Oh no... there are idiots on this thread - OMG!

Please tell me who they are so that I might avoid them in future. ;)

Lack of details prevents decent help. Yet again.

Why not mention what the car is? Make/Model Engine type and size?

Some cars have known problems, It could be a simple problem like a temperature sensor.
Giving a false reading saying the engine is cold so overfuels
just as it would on a cold frosty morning.

No other readings from the MOT? Lambda sensors?

    Has it ever been serviced?

forgotmyname the car is a VW GOLF GTI 2.0 W REG

I replaced the temperature sensor - After the VAG COM reported a problem with it but it still did not resolve the issue, a week after still high readings, also a spark plug on cylinder 1 seems to keep failing, and has been replaced once already.

No Faults are reported with the engine (although once there was an idle problem reported), no emmisions light is on, the bulb works,

exhaust emissions carbon monoxide content 9.99% on 3 fails

exhaust emissions lamber reading outside limit after 2nd fast idle

Serviced 6 months ago I believe

Pinkshoes the chap told me all it needed was maybe a new tyre and it would fly through the MOT - I have written 2 letters and am at the point of starting legal proceedings, hence the thread.

Sorry but, you're just going to have to get used to it. When I first came here, people would take a dump in my face when asking for help. I don't understand why MSE don't ban people like this from a money saving forum, but its just the way it goes I guess. You have to deal with it and move on. They are trolls, and sadly, MSE is full of 'em. Don't feed them, thats what they want. Even though you would think they are respectable members due to the post count, they are mostly just being a-holes in them all.

Nah some people have just had a sense of humour bypass at some point in their lives. ;)
