i do about 1 hr 10mins commute each way. been a year now and i loathe it. effects my quality of life so much, was fine at 1st but then the drive home is the worst after a long stressfull day, im shattered time i get home and just want to sleep whereas before used to go the gym, go out etc.
alot of miles each day and car eats petrol
  • For those a bit worn down by the commute: you could treat yourself to an iPod or similar and an Audible subscription and listen to audiobooks while you commute. Works/ed for me :)

I commuted for an hour and a half each way for 5 years. The money made it worth it, but I was exhausted. If you think you will enjoy the job more, go for it! But it is not easy in the long term.

Ditto, did this timeline and I too was exhausted as thats the minimum time it takes and waiting for public transport in winter is horrendous.... (though Im in the sticks, I almost envy those that use the tube lol)
