Cant get sky with my hdmi cable after moving it.

We had a new carpet fitted today and moved the telly. So decided to make the wires a bit tidier, unpluged a couple and then put them back.
But now with the hdmi cable it doesnt seem to register the sky box, so am watching sky through a scart cable.
It comes up with no signal when the scart is unplugged and is not on the source list.
Its a samsung telly if that makes a difference. Have tried loads of different things and im getting the hump.

Have you tried it in a different HDMI socket to rule that out?
If so and still no luck, then it must be the HDMI cable or the HDMI output from the Sky box, as you've eliminated everything else.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Although it's not worth spending a fortune on HDMI cables, the cheap ones typically have poor plugs and don't like to be disturbed once plugged in!
My money's on the cable as well.0 -
Got any other HDMI device to test with? PS3? Media Player? Anything to rule one or the other out.0

Got to be the HDMI cable, see if any pins are missing. Worth buying a new one from somewhere like Play.com, but don't be duped into paying over the odds, should be able to get one for much less than a tenner.0

Have you tried resetting the box? and checking the output settings on it ?0
