I prefer zoomplayer myself but I do on occasions use vlc player its good for those odd media that requires special codecs0

what version have you used? also what were you watching? i dunno im more the type of person who wouldnt be too bothered about it being "absolutely perfect" quality. as long as it plays my file (believe me vlc is the only player that has been able to play some of my files where players like media player classic etc have failed) and is of decent quality im happy
each to their own i guess.
