It was Tesco with me. Same story but was for tshirts. Usually they just sort it out but in this branch (one I've not used before or since) they refused so I told them to take everything back & refund my money. Didn't get the tshirts but I was only buying them because they were supposedly cheap!!

They do, or did, however give you a £2 gift voucher if they make a mistake. You generally have to ask for it, mind..
