    Open to suggestions...

I'm 13 days away from an upgrade with O2 but reading around they're not going to be offering anything worth while so I'm fine with moving to another network.
  • Try dialaphone where I got a 9700 on o2 with 1000mins unlimited texts and wifi and 750mb bb internet for £35pm
  • Please could I also have some help I have rung up orange and they have offered me 24.75 pounds pm 500 mins unlimited txt 500mb internet and all blackberry stuff related. They phone will be free. Is this a good deal? or not? any more suggestions THANKSS
  • I think orange do the most resonable offer for roughly 25 quid, you get 400 or 600 mins and loads of other stuff... but i opted out as i wanted included unlimited landline mins and network to network... i looked at tmobile they was the closest to the offer... however id need to purchase another bundle for what i wanted came to 35 quid too much...

i want unlimited internet, network to network, landline, text and atleast 400 mins... plus bb messenger and email... stubborn i know but i won't pay something stupid for 24 months and i wont sign up for 24 months if they won't give me what i want.

unlimited should also be scrapped or people ought to start sueing the companys, if its not unlimited, its not advertised like that! its a con!

It is seriously worth considering purchasing the phone from somewhere like https://www.unlocked-mobiles.com for £340 - including the cost of buying this on a credit card and paying off a bit each month if necessary - and getting one of the very good SIM only deals. Tesco are doing various in-store promotional deals - search threads on here for info.

It will depend how much spare cash you have to spend on a new phone and what price credit is available to you. Do a bit of maths and surprise yourself!

You do also end up with network flexibility as most SIMs only have 30 days notice.
  • just looked at tesco tarrifs of sim only..

i DON'T get it, unlimited everything for 30 quid, now thats tempting, however there has to be a catch, small prints aying that theres a limit to internet and texts...?????
  • just read the small print. its a 1gb limit, what a joke of a advertisement

Agreed, the whole unlimited shambles needs sorting out. When it would have been virtually impossible to get through 1GB of data from a phone, then fair enough perhaps, but this really does need sorting - especially with such high run-on rates. Talkmobile have 500MB as their "unlimited" amount - and then charge £1 per MB!

I believe a phrase Martin used in a recent blog post, "...unlimited my ar*e.." needs to be applied to this mess. It is becoming increasingly common for posts to appear on here with shockingly high phone bills - this will just get more and more common until we can have a better court-ruled definition on the use of the word unlimited.

Three's SIM only offering for £25 consists of
    2000 minutes (anytime, any network)
    5000 texts
    1GB internet
    5000 Three-to-Three minutes
    Voicemail
    and 10p/MB run on rates.

There is the alternative option of getting something like three's mifi device, and they offer a £15/month 15GB data deal, and you carry a mobile wifi signal around with you. Kind of defeats part of the point of the phone, but could be economically justified I suppose for heavy data users.
