o2 Simplicity Tariffs...not so simple to me!

I'm considering the purchase of an iphone 4 and due to circumstances, I'm looking for a maximum 12 month contract which means that the only option is to buy the phone and sim card separate which is fine.
What I'm struggling with is the o2 Simplicity 12 month sim at £15, which includes 300 mins, unlimited texts etc.
It states inclusive bolt ons are data & unlimited wi-fi, but then going into the data allowance link (http://www.o2.co.uk/newdatatariffs) states that a Smartphone Bolt On is £5 for 500MB. What I can't understand is whether this sim comes with a set amount of data allowance included within the £15 monthly charge?
It also mentions something about "30th September we are offering unlimited data".
Can anyone clear this up for me; I'm not wanting to opt for a £15 deal if no data is included so effectively the cost is £20 monthly!

I've just spoken to o2 on their chat service about the data amount and they have said that the sim I'm looking at has unlimited usage until the end of this month, and then will include 500MB per month for £15; with an extra 500MB available for £5 bolt-on.
I've kept a copy of the chat, just in case that isn't right!
If anyone thinks that is completely wrong and the sales rep has it wrong, can you let me know ASAP
