Hi everyone, I must admit, I have fallen off the bandwagon recently but will be getting back on track this week. I did the kitchen on Saturday but it needs a bit of a spruce up tonight and I need to give the floor a good clean. Also have a couple of bags of ironing to do - oh the joys.

Hope everyone has a good week. xx

    Afternoon all,

Happy anniversary to LW and MrLW.

Was out all afternoon yesterday watching one of my ex-pupils in a street dance performance - she did really well, and out of all of the groups peforming, including children at college (she is 9), their group was the most professional. It was also lovely of her to ask me to come.

Moon and I went to dinner at Pizza Express last night as I had a voucher for the buy one main course and get one for £1 that ran out yesterday. The dinner was really nice, but woke up this morning feeling sick, as well as AF doing her worst to compliment the tummy trouble. I ended up making myself a peppermint tea, and going back to bed with a wheatbag. Don't know if the upset tummy was due to too much sun yesterday, or the food.

So far, I've showered and washed my hair, dressed, received my new Liz Earle products (my skin is awful at the moment and I'm willing to try most things - the postman was probably surprised to see me in my dressing gown at 12pm), decluttered some important phonecalls - wanted to get Moon into my dental surgery, as he's not been to a dentist for 20 years!!! but unfortunately they aren't taking anyone else on - called my supply agency as I've not had work since term ended in July, and have got an all day booking on Wednesday, and a couple of morning bookings for a few weeks time.

Moon bisselled the living room carpet yesterday, and most of the house is really tidy, as I wanted it tidy in case the pupil and her mum came over after the performance (they didn't but at least it's tidy in case anyone else decides to pop over). I cleaned out the microwave before I defrosted some bread this afternoon, and the sides are still clean from yesterday. I do need to do the floor though, as Moon has traipsed mud through from the garden, and I need to empty and reload the DW.

    Hugs and congratulations where appropriate.

Hiya ... just flying in to say Monday's list is completed! It was too difficult because of all the grot clearing yesterday. I'm just slowly continuing to go through the house...such fun!
I've also been to the charity shop and bought a dozen more books for the children. They get through them so quickly and are both really enjoying goosebumps so managed to get a few more of those.

    Right, onwards and upwards.

Happy anniversary Lamewolf (why do I keep wanting to call you lameduck????).

    Hugs to all xx
  • Hi all,

Congrats LW, - have a great day!

Hugs & spoons to all who need them!

I'm in again... but going to try & be more realistic this week. Completely lost track of the thread last week, sorry peeps! Have resolved to do better this week! I did sort of keep up with the lists though, but I think I was expecting a little too much for my 1st week, so am going to try & make a more sustained achievement (all be it at a level lower I think) this week. Got lots of washing done over the W/E, but not much else due to feeling pretty carp ( ty AF) & overly emotional when the letters came out about GGM's will on Sat. Meal Plan & Clothing to sort out tonight in addition to the std list....

  • Printed 105 pages of full colour council form nonsense...all because the house doesn't officially exist on their database, so doesn't have a council tax banding at present. And they don't post forms out any more - the only alternative was to go and sit in their offices for 'a bit' (ie, 7 hours - that was what it was last time I had any dealings with them - and their computer agreed that my flat actually existed!) and try and complete it online on their computer (to be told that the house doesn't exist? No thanks)

And then the OT called to say that she was worried the place wouldn't be suitable  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Only 2 things will stop me getting in that door - 1. Rats everywhere (DD has a thing about them) and 2. An ex neighbour who is antisocial (with a capital ASBO) moving into the adjacent semi.

And one of those could be dealt with by strategic application of rat poison.

    Not the first.

    Kitchen is spotless, however!

Happy Anniversary LameWolf & Mr LW!

    Happy birthday for tomorrow Zed!

Thanks for the welcome back and waves to everyone!
