Mobile locked to o2

Hi
I have a lg mobile that is locked to o2.
I have been looking at the sim only only deal tesco have on at the moment and i am wondering if the tesco sim would work ok in my phone as tesco use the o2 network.

doubt it, although they use the same infrastructure, they are seperate networks - Tesco have been doing a lot more sim locking of late. Why don't you order a free o2 payt sim and give it a try, or just call Tesco and ask?

We've had no trouble with putting Tesco sims into O2 phones (including an LG Viewty). Why don't you get a Tesco PAYG sim (either free or 99p) and see if it works before you sign up for a rolling contract.

Never had any problems using a Tesco Sim in an O2 handset.

It doesn't work the other way though, O2 sims dont work in Tesco handsets.
