  • I highly recommend Cumfy Pets activity centres:

I have the large delux CP2294-BLUE and its great. I have the comfier bed with the cushion in the highest spot and one of my cats sleeps in it every day, for hours at a time. Its so high I can't even see into the bed. My younger one loves to bite and play with the rope and all the levels are great for them to sit and play on. Its very sturdy and I've never had any issues with it.

They sell them on ebay as well so you can pick up a bargain (if no-one bids against you) and I got mine for £20 less than the listed price.

I got mine from a company called cleo - via ebay.
they are a uk company and you can buy parts from them if you need to (instead of a whole new tree)

the one i got is very sturdy, my big boy has only managed to tip it once

    Hi,

I found Zooplus to be good for cat trees. Have also bought through them on ebay (zoopetcare) - get the same things much cheaper and p&p isn't too bad!

  • Thank you all. Went for the car tree oasis from zooplus in the end and thanks to the sale got some cat litter as well to qualify for free delivery. Total cost just over £19 :) Saw some pics by other owners on the web and seemed to look big and sturdy enough. Fingers crossed!
Saving for a deposit. £5440 of £11000 saved so far:j

I have two large and lazy indoor rescues who when we bought them a year ago were supposed to be outdoor cats, unfortunately we discovered they have been so badly treated previously they are to frightened to go outside and are happy inside with us!! now they have finally come out from under the bed (jack is currently on my lap being loving!) we have decided to get them a cat tree because they need the exercise and they don't like the smaller post due to it not being tall enough. Daniel our biggest one keeps using door frames to stretch up!!!

    I'm going for http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/medium/13534

i wanted something high as Daniel loves to sleep up high and with a den as jack needs to have a safe place to hide when he is afraid (which is roughly half of his day!) we are lucky that we have plenty of space, i decided not to pick one with ladders or hammocks because I think they might be afraid. Fingers crossed they love it and it stops their claws being so sharp as my legs can't take anymore!!!

our oasis arrived the other day.

the two of them were straight on it.

the big one likes to sit on the top platform and stare at me, while the little one curls in the box at the bottom.

on the first day i did catch the two of them having a disagreement over who got the bottom box, but it seems as if the little one has won!

and, fingers crossed, it hasn't been knocked over yet, and the big one is almost able to fully stretch out tall! (he is a very long cat!)

seems mostly sturdy so far, but we shall see. the big one knocks most of them over when he scratchs on them, but so far this one hasn't wobbled yet.

Kalven the best cat trees I have ever found. Not the cheapest but will last longer than most and can be recovered. They are all solid wood (none of this compressed cardboard tubes or anything) Also lovely people to deal with

I've not heard of them. Had a look at their range, pricey but solid - they look well good. Being in the 'red' zone [NI] for delivery is a bit scarey though. I would definitely put them on my list if it wasn't for delivery cost.
  • I have this one for my too energetic maine coons, was worried to begin with incase it toppled over but we have had no problems. It's looking s bit scruffy now but think it has been quite good value for money and they really love sleeping in the hammock. http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/scratching_posts/large/84902
