How would you have known what his old password was??

When you save a password, it doesn't say what it is does it, rather than it saying 'catdog' it would have come up with ******, so I don't understand how you could have guessed his old password to go snooping further?

More often than not these passwords are stored unencrypted and can be easily reverse engineered with a simple and free program

With Firefox it's as simple as Tools-Options-Security-Saved passwords.

They're all listed for you. He wouldn't even have to use TNT's method.

Really?! Who would want to save them if that happens, unless some people don't know it happens?

As far as I know you always get a prompt asking if you want to save the password. They're never saved as a default option.

Now IE on the other hand... We've recently had Firefox installed on the servers at work. When I imported my settings from IE it also brought over several saved passwords.
I don't recall saving these passwords, but according to the IT department I shouldn't be able to anyway - privacy regulations and such likes.

Nearest Apple store to Isle of Wight?

Southampton... in West Quays shopping centre.

Yes as one of my Ilse of Wight based friends found out to her cost.... and they would not refund the Red funnel fare when they found out that it was their store assistants fault that her new iPhone was broken .... through deliberate act!
