Hi All
I'm enjoying my morning cup of coffee whilst reading about Apple's latest "We were wrong but we're not going to admit it". It appears that hidden in their latest relaxation of development rules is the ability to cross-platform. Essentially, this is a backdoor that will allow developers to use Flash on an iPhone.

It will take some time, but I can see the likes of Opera Mini being updated to show Flash content.

In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move.

'Steve' really does seem to bes on the ropes these days..
only a couple of months ago he spouted the following:'Flash has not performed well on mobile devices" and 'we also know first-hand that Flash is the number-one reason why Macs crash.'
He added; 'Adobe should focus more on creating great... tools for the future, and less on criticising Apple for leaving the past behind.'TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Thanks guys.
I expect Android will continue to grow and Symbian may begin to hold its own now Nokia have a new boss, but Adobe are in trouble again (clicky) and that's got to be a concern. In the beginning, the universe was created. The relaxation in developer rules was because of recent surges of developers moving from developing for iOS to android. Hence the relaxation of the rules. BTW Google gets admob access again because of the relaxation. There were a few articles about this issue on several android forums.
IPhones have no problem playing flash, as jailbroken ones have shown that it works fine. It's just that it makes more money for jobs to block flash and use other proprietary stuff. The html5 gamble won't materialize for a while because there is no agreed format yet. Adobe will move to html5 when it makes commercial sense to do so. Google has hedged its bets and both work on android and the version of html5 expected to dominate is promoted by Google. There are some interesting articles on the flash v html debate on BBC blogs.
Yes flash does make macs into space heaters apparently but no idea why though.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -
